Sensei Sampson

My name is Jamie Sampson.

I am a mother of four children at the age of 14, 12, 11, and 4 years old. We all do karate as a family and travel to tournaments as a family. I study the art of the Jhoon Rhee Martial Arts System. I received my Black Belt from one of the first Black man under the Jhoon Rhee Martial Arts System. My direct touring came from Master D.E. Chambers who is also the President Of The AOK Organization in the State Of Texas. I am the instructor of the Beaumont location of Northside Karate under Master D.E. Chambers. I teach the Northside Karate System with is based off the Jhoon Rhee Martial Arts System. I teach ages ranging from 4 years old to 70 years old, teaching girls, boys, women, and men. We all work out and work hard together as a school. We uplift each other every day in class and support each other at tournaments. I'm very proud to be a young Black female in karate and spreading the word the that us as women and girls can do karate and look fabulous while doing. I'm excited that I'm showing little girls and other women in the martial arts world of karate that not only men can do or run a tournament but us as women can too and little girls can grow up to also one day run a tournament. I have recently received an award from the Sport Karate Museum for an Ambassador from Professor Gary Lee and Master D.E. Chambers. This is the start of many awards that I plan to receive in my Martial Arts career.
